Sustainable Kitchen Renovation
Kitchen renovation updates a 30-year-old home by opening the Living Room to the Kitchen and Dining. Adding an island significantly increased the counter space, storage, functionality and seating. Plus, the island provides space to prep meals with multiple cooks and serves as an eating / work area. To unify the space a neutral toned countertop was used with 75% recycled content and 3rd-party certification. Sustainable cabinetry was used on both the ivory painted perimeter cabinets and the rich wood island. Cabinetry, counters and backsplash are complimented by the reclaimed wood flooring used throughout the main level. Energy Star appliances and lighting complete the eco-friendly objectives.
